Take a trip to Dunkery Beacon, Exmoor’s highest point at 519 metres, and admire the incredible vista! Take a stroll through the coastal hamlet of Bossington which sits within the National Trust’s Holnicote Estate, which covers 12,000 acres of Exmoor National Park. A walk from Bossington can lead you to it’s pebbly beach or high up to the lookout of Hurlstone Point. Head to County Gate, as the name suggests is where Devon and West Somerset meet. Its location offers great views over the East Lyn valley and Doone Country.

Pop for a picnic at Landacre Bridge which spans the River Barle upstream from Withypool. It is a Grade II listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument with five arches. Its sheltered position and sheep-clipped grass makes it a perfect area for picnics or a dip in the shallow river. It is also a popular spot for seeing Exmoor ponies!
