Exmoor is, of course, known for its breathtaking landscape and rugged coastlines; it’s also the beating heart of vibrant, communities. From our charming villages, settlements and towns and Exmoor’s strength lies in its people and its thriving small businesses. Across the area local shops, producers, chefs, artisans, and families come together to create a rich and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
Our ‘Exmoor: Pride in Place’ campaign is an ongoing theme to inspire, motivate, and remind people who live not far from the Exmoor area what they have to experience not far from their doorstep. As part of the campaign, we highlight inspiring stories of those who call this beautiful area home – along with some well-known faces who live, work, or regularly visit the area.
It’s about celebrating everything we have to offer across the area; the creativity, resilience, and dedication of our community members, and showcasing why Exmoor is a place to visit again and again.
Through the stories of local food producers, passionate business owners, and everyday Exmoor heroes, we shine a spotlight on the pride that runs through the veins of this remarkable area. Whether enjoying the moorland and landscapes, exploring towns, villages and local shops, or discovering the artistry behind local crafts and produce, or the warm hospitality found in our cafés, restaurants, pubs and foodie popup events, Exmoor’s pride in place is palpable.
