Together with Exmoor National Park, Visit Exmoor will be running a ‘Buy Local’ campaign over the summer months. The aim of the campaign is to promote all our local retailers and encourage visitors to use local village shops to stock up on local produce and their holiday goodies. We will also be looking to promote local farmers markets to visitors so they can come along and enjoy all the fantastic produce and products available across out area!

Exmoor producers and retailers are a critical part of our area visitor offering. In our promotions we encourage visitors to buy local and increase the visitor spend across the area. We now have an engaged social media following of 30,000+ across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and have 150,000 visitors to the website each year. Championing local produce, products and retailers is part of our area focus and we run lots of initiatives in support of this, you may have seen our hugely successful ‘Buy Local’ social media campaign in the run up to Christmas. This year we will have the Eat Exmoor Guide (5th edition), the Producer Excellence Guide 2023/24 and we will be heavily focusing on encouraging visitors to the area to buy local.
