Upcott Farm sits right on the Exmoor National Park boundary, with countryside stretching out on all sides. Two converted buildings make up the property: a roomy barn conversion and a carefully renovated hayloft, known individually as Nightjar (eight guests) and Willow’s Rest (four guests). Dogs are welcome, and the setting suits anyone keen to spend their days outside.

Between them the two properties sleep 12, making the farm a good fit for larger family groups or friends travelling together across generations. Everyone can sit down together at the 12-person dining table, and there’s a large free-standing fireplace for evenings once younger guests are settled. The interiors lean into texture and warmth — velvet upholstery, sheepskin throws — with a freestanding tub on hand for a long soak.
