Situated in Exmoor National Park, our cottages/apartments have excellent connections to local walks, including the South West Coast Path and Dunkery Beacon – the highest point on Exmoor. A village atmosphere at heart but close to local amenities with pubs, shops and restaurants in close proximity in Porlock, Minehead, Dunster and Lynton and Lynmouth. With Minehead beach only 10-minute drive away, this makes for a great seaside base too.

In our small and quiet village, you will find, a post-office, old school museum, village hall, recreation ground and playground for children, there are plenty of local walks right on our doorstep and a short distance away you can find tea rooms in either Bossington or Selworthy.

The Pack Horse offers a selection of quality 4-star apartments and cottage, all our apartments have been newly refurbished, including smart TVs & high speed WIFI, they are tastefully furnished and well equipped for a comfortable stay. Three of our riverside apartments sleep 2 people and our Bridge View suite and detached courtyard cottage sleeps up to 4, our cottage could sleep up to 5, at a push. We welcome well behaved dogs in all our apartments.

Our outside space is perfect for relaxing or alfresco dining and listening to the River Aller meandering its way to the sea. In our adjacent courtyard we have a large lawn to enjoy at your leisure as well as onsite parking in our and safe storage for any outdoor pursuit equipment should you wish to bring.

Although nestled in the heart of the countryside, situated just off the A39, there is a regular bus service to Minehead/Porlock, where you can have a ride on the West Somerset Railway   to the Medieval Castle in Dunster or have dinner watching the sunset at Porlock Weir. The perfect location to explore all Exmoor has to offer.
