Chris and Lesley Allam look forward to welcoming you to The Denes, an attractive Edwardian Guest House on the edge of Lynton. A 10 minute walk from The Denes takes you into the spectacular Valley of Rocks. A few minutes’ walk in the opposite direction takes you to cafes, restaurants, shops and the Cliff Railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth.
Each guest room is tastefully decorated in its own distinctive style. All guest bedrooms are ensuite and all retain their original fireplaces.
At The Denes, the breakfasts get great reviews! Food is locally sourced where possible. The butcher who supplies the breakfast bacon and sausages used to be the ‘village’ butcher for many years and the eggs are free range Devon eggs. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available on request.
The picnic bench in the front garden and the table and chairs in the back garden are available for guests to use if they fancy sitting outside.
You will be spoilt for choice with the variety of fabulous coastal walks that take you to dramatic cliffs, through coastal forest and along streams and rivers. Go through the wooden gate across the road to the top of Hollerday Hill. Your 20 minute walk will be well rewarded with spectacular views of the Valley of Rocks from above – a must at sunset!
