Promoting events across Somerset West & Taunton with a dedicated new events platform
As part of the Somerset West and Taunton ERDF Welcome Back Fund, Visit Exmoor and Visit Somerset have been commissioned to develop and host a searchable database and online events calendar for the area.
The events platform will be hosted on the Visit Exmoor website and will enable representatives from towns and villages across the area to submit information via an online form about events taking place in their location. Visitors to the platform will be able to search for events by various filters including by location, month, type of event, free of charge, family friendly, wheelchair accessible, to find events of interest.
The towns and villages with appointed representatives responsible for updating the calendar include Dulverton, Taunton, Watchet, Dunster, Wiveliscombe, Williton, Wellington, Minehead and Porlock.
The events calendar will be promoted by Visit Exmoor and Visit Somerset on our social media channels which have a combined audience of over 100,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Somerset West and Taunton have also commissioned ADPR (PR Agency) to deliver strategic marketing of the town centres and visitor destinations and will be working to promote the calendar as part of this strategy.
