Event Details

Taking place on Tuesday 26th July, we meet at dusk, 9.00pm and walk into the dark sky reserve, a hike up onto the moor along the Exe Valley way, an old droveway, looking out for our native red deer and bats. We sit to watch the stars come out and talk about the constellations and planets, demonstrating available apps before heading back to the farmhouse for sundowners and warming snacks. We use our telescopes to look at the moon, and other details of deepest, darkest space. Hot drinks and homemade treats to warm you up as we stargaze, with lots of astronomical information. Grade: moderate….1 climb, walk approx. 3 miles up and back.

Location: Exford, Somerset. Please wear warm, waterproof clothing and comfortable walking shoes or boots. Bring a torch and walking poles if you like to use them. Charge: £35 per person Duration approx. 2 hours.
