THE FIRST DULVERTON VINTAGE FAIR IS TO TAKE PLACE IN THIS PRETTY EXMOOR MARKET TOWN ON SUNDAY 5 SEPTEMBER 2021 – A FESTIVAL OF VINTAGE FOR ALL THE FAMILY, WITH SINGING, DANCING, HISTORIC VEHICLES AND VINTAGE STALLS. ADMISSION FREE!

To reignite the visitor economy after the Covid restrictions, the lovely Exmoor town of Dulverton has created a brand new event to encourage holidaymakers and visitors to the town. The announcement of the event coincides with the town’s fresh new Visit Dulverton branding and the relaunch of the Visit Dulverton Facebook and Instagram pages.

The Dulverton Vintage Fair is planned as a mini festival of vintage, primarily celebrating the 1940’s and 1950’s – with an array of vintage stalls, singing by the fabulous Liberty Sisters (from ‘Buttercup’, their vintage yellow truck – pictured above), dancing with the South West Lindy Hoppers and the Hot House Combo playing their wonderful swinging jazz to encourage others to jump up and dance along too!

Historic cars from the North Devon Sports and Classic Car Club will be there, as well as some rare and exquisite WWII military vehicles (and tractors – this is Exmoor, after all!). Everyone will be encouraged to dress in period costume if they fancy – you may even find a 1940’s hair and make up stall at the event. Cream teas, a Pimms Bar and other refreshments will keep visitors fed and watered.

The Fair will take place on the Exmoor Lawns, an area of lawn that sits beside the River Barle close to Dulverton’s iconic medieval bridge. Admission to the Vintage Fair is FREE and it will be held from 12 to 5pm on Sunday 5 September 2021 – with the hope is that it shall become an annual event for the town.
