The Rest & Be Thankful is a beautiful Country Inn with 8 en-suite bedrooms, restaurant, bars, skittle alley/function room, patio area and large car park, with electric charging points.

An early 19th Century inn situated at the main crossroads of Wheddon Cross, in the heart of Exmoor National Park. This cosy inn with its log fires in winter and the patio looking out to Dunkery Beacon in the summer sun. The Rest and Be Thankful has eight shower en-suite bedrooms, all fully equipped for your stay.

A full bar with choices of ales, wines and large selection of gins. We provide a variety of meals 7 days a week from freshly battered cod and chips to homemade 8oz prime beef burgers.  Come and try The Rest & Be Thankful’s famous Sunday carvery, renowned for freshly cooked vegetables and juicy meats, served between 12 – 2pm and 5 – 8.30pm. The desserts available include banoffee pie, pineapple cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and bread & butter pudding.
