Nestled in a beautifully secluded valley in the centre of Exmoor National Park, Westermill Farm is tucked away at the end of a private valley, deep in the rugged heart of the park. Our 500-acre working hill farm lies within the International Dark Sky Reserve, offering spectacular stargazing on clear nights.
Camp in 14 acres of mown, secluded fields with no set pitches, giving you the freedom to park your vehicle right next to your tent. Enjoy a campfire to cook our home-grown sausages, burgers, steak, or simply toast marshmallows under the stars.
Come and see how an Exmoor hill farm works. We have cattle, sheep, hens, geese, and working sheep dogs! Wander along the farm walks and discover abundant wildlife, birds, and wildflowers. After a long day, enjoy hot showers in our family shower rooms and make use of the large drying room—all with hot water supplied by our eco-friendly biomass boiler using wood grown on the farm.
Westermill is perfect for exploring open moorland, wooded valleys, and spectacular coastal scenery—or simply relaxing and escaping the humdrum of everyday life. The farm borders no roads, so you can walk straight from your door onto the farm walks and beyond. Children love the river, fishing with nets, building dams, and exploring the countryside.
