We’re an award-winning accessible activity centre and accommodation provider in the heart of the North Devon countryside. We specialise in breaks for people with disabilities, alongside their families, friends and carers.

Residential breaks

At Calvert Devon, we excel in inclusive adventure. From individuals and families to community groups, we create tailored breaks that work around your needs, preferences, and pace. No matter your age or ability, we believe everyone deserves the chance to try something new, build confidence, and enjoy time together.

Your break includes a full programme of exciting on-site activities – think abseiling, canoeing, horse-riding, archery, biking, zipwires, and more – all led by our friendly, qualified instructors.

There’s also a swimming pool, accessible equipment, and plenty of evening fun like quizzes, discos, and chilled-out moments too.

Accommodation is based around a peaceful courtyard, with comfortable en-suite bedrooms and apartments in single, twin, and triple layouts. We also offer adaptive equipment, accessible showers and toilets, laundry and drying rooms, and a helpful housekeeping team if you need support.

You’ll enjoy delicious hot meals in our dining room, freshly prepared by our chefs and tailored to your dietary requirements.

Residential breaks vary from 2 to 7 nights and are all-inclusive of activities, accommodation, meals and use of the centre facilities. We host themed breaks through the year, from Easter to Christmas, with plenty of opportunities to find your adventure without limits.

Accommodation only stays

Just looking for somewhere to stay?

We also offer bed and breakfast, bed only, and limited self-catering. Ideal if you want a quiet and comfortable base for exploring nearby Exmoor National Park, golden beaches, and top local attractions like Combe Martin, Barnstaple and Lynton.

Group lodges

New for 2025, our group lodges are ready to welcome you. Perfect for large families or groups, schools or clubs, these hostel-style lodges offer a relaxed, budget-friendly base with everything you need for a group break:

• 4 lodges each sleep up to 10 people in bunkbeds, with their own toilet and shower facilities
• 1 lodge features 2 private bedrooms and shared toilet/shower facilities – ideal for smaller or mixed groups
• Meals and activities could be added if booked in advance
• Dog friendly!

These proper beds, private toilet and shower facilities make a great alternative to camping, but with the comfort and security of a proper roof over your head.
