  1. Beautiful Garden Weddings with Warm, Family-Run Hospitality and a Ballroom for 300, Lympsham. Batch Country House is tucked away a few miles behind the sandy beaches of Brean.  Family run, the team here are meticulous in making sure every aspect of your wedding runs just the way you want it.  The pretty house is surrounded by acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens and water features including a gazebo where you can marry in summer.   All the reception rooms are licensed (up to 150 guests) and there is a beautiful ballroom for a party.  Everything you need is all in one place and exclusively yours for the day along with a four-poster bridal suite and 21 comfortable rooms for your guests.
  2. Love Nature? Marry in a Beautifully restored 17th Century Barn at Secret World Wildlife Rescue, near East Huntspill.  Every wedding here supports the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of orphaned and injured British wildlife through the SWWR charity, who help around 5,000 animals each year.  Licenced for 50, Bluebell Barn offers a unique setting at the heart of the centre.  They offer a selection of food, a fully stocked bar and a prosecco wall.  The enclosed garden, complete with games is great for kids and features a marquee for your wedding breakfast.  Your special day will not only be remarkable and memorable but will also make a real difference to British wildlife.  Glamping and lodge accommodation is available nearby at multi-award winning Wall Eden Farm where they also have an activity centre to add to the fun.
  3. New Canapes and Fizz Package and Idyllic Intimate Ceremony, near Bridgwater. Greenway Farm is a cosy, rustic venue run by the friendly Martin and Sue.  Perfect for an informal, relaxed wedding, licenced for up to 60, in their restored stone wedding barn, or in summer in a beautifully decorated marquee, complete with chandeliers.  Choose from two or three-course meals, hog roasts, grazing boards or new for this year a special, simple ceremony package with canapés and fizz.  The quirky bar, wildlife pond and pretty gardens lend themselves to stunning photos and while there’s no on-site accommodation, plenty is available nearby.
  4. Keeping it Simple, Two by Two – Registry Office Weddings. There are several Registration Offices in Somerset where you can have a 2+2 wedding or partnership ceremony, the ones nearest to the coast are in Bridgwater and Williton.  All 2+2 ceremonies are in council buildings, in an office environment, and are carried out on weekdays.  If you want an intimate, simple wedding with just you two and two witnesses, then this could be your perfect option.  The fee for the ceremony, plus a certificate, is currently £68.50, click here to find out more.
  5. Affordable, Family-Friendly, DIY Celebrations with Pretty Church Next Door, Fiddington. If you want to keep costs down and take charge of all the details, Fiddington Village Hall offers a blank canvas.  Set at the end of a peaceful lane surrounded by fields, you are free to organise your own food, décor, drinks and party.  This well-equipped hall (max numbers 120 but with additional marquee available in summer) has a stage, built-in surround sound system and playground outside making it very family friendly.  Next door, a small, lime-washed church dating from the 13th century provides a beautiful ceremony setting.
  6. Relaxed, Informal Wedding Breaks in a Country House Hotel in the Quantock Hills, Holford. Right at the foot of the Quantock Hills (you can walk from the door), Combe House offers couples exclusive use of a cosy, dog-friendly hotel with 18 luxurious bedrooms and a marquee in the grounds.  Perfect for a weekend wedding of celebrations and activity, with unlimited choices of delicious locally sourced food – three-course dinner, rolling canapes, carving platter, hog roast, burgers, fish and chips, you decide.  Combe House is snug enough for a tiny wedding but licensed outdoors and indoors for up to 80 with space for dinner for 100 or a party for 150 guests.  All weddings are organised with the personal assistance of a dedicated wedding planner.

St Audries Park is nestled in a picturesque valley looking down to the coast.  Couples have exclusive use of this spectacular Georgian Manor house, in 100 acres of parkland, for one, two, or three-day celebrations.  Marry in church or the stunning Orangery (licensed for 130), with fabulous views over the gardens and Deer Park.  From intimate gatherings for 30 to grand receptions for 250 evening guests, with accommodation for 100 in 14 stylish bedrooms and four cottages in the grounds (two with hot tubs).  One is large enough to host a pre-wedding party for 50.  Professionalism and personalisation are key with unlimited access to a dedicated planner from inception to your special day.
