No visit to Minehead would be complete without scaling the heights of North Hill and seeing the Exmoor ponies. Enjoy far reaching views around Minehead bay, along the Exmoor heritage coastline and, on a clear day, across the water to Wales. See the ponies in their natural habitat peacefully grazing amongst the heather and gorse.
You can reach North Hill by driving from the town along Blenheim Rd, Martlet Rd, St Michael's Rd and finally Moor Rd. This will eventually take you to Bossington Hill with amazing views over Porlock Bay. Why not take a picnic and watch the sun go down?
For the more energetic, there are a network of footpaths and bridleways that weave up onto the hill from the harbour, so why not dust off your walking boots or grease up your mountain bike and take the challenge?
