Largest display of vintage and classic vehicles predicted at Rosemoor’s popular Vintage Weekend

The Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Garden Rosemoor will be the setting for the popular Vintage Weekend on 31 July & 1 August, supported by Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management.

After many similar events have been cancelled this year and our events called off last year due to the pandemic, the team at Rosemoor are delighted to welcome visitors back on Vintage Weekend. This year, Rosemoor has received applications for more than 150 vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, tractors and other agricultural machinery making it Rosemoor’s largest ever display, elegantly presented on the gently sloping lawn in the Arboretum.

It’s not just about vehicles, there is fun for all the family including a 1940’s re-enactment with Second World War living history re-enactors, displays of machinery, artillery and field hospital tents. 1940s dress code is encouraged too as you enjoy the music and Lindy Hop dancing of a bygone era. The little ones can have a good time with our classic Punch and Judy show, as you savour a delicious cream tea.

Also taking place this weekend is a Vintage & Upcycled Fair where visitors can browse wonderful stalls full of vintage textiles and clothing, as well as repurposed and upcycled items for the home and garden. The fair takes place inside our Garden Room events building.

All of this is included with normal garden admission (RHS members go free and you can join at the garden). Combine a visit with our stunning 65 acres of gardens for a full day out with the vintage event from 10am–4pm while the gardens stay open until 6pm. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment and also to speed up your admissions. For more information look at the what’s on section of the website.
