A FESTIVAL OF VINTAGE FOR ALL THE FAMILY IN THIS PRETTY EXMOOR TOWN, WITH SINGING, DANCING, HISTORIC VEHICLES AND VINTAGE STALLS. ADMISSION FREE!
Excitement is building as the date of the inaugural Dulverton Vintage Fair approaches – Sunday 5 September from 12 noon. Dulverton – Gateway to Exmoor – is a beautiful little town, packed with independent shops, award-winning pubs and restaurants and pretty cottages. The Vintage Fair is planned as a mini festival of vintage, primarily celebrating the 1940’s and 1950’s – with an array of vintage/retro/brocante stalls, singing by the fabulous Liberty Sisters, dancing with the South West Lindy Hoppers and the Hot House Combo playing their wonderful swinging jazz to encourage others to jump up and dance along too!
Rare and exquisite WWII military vehicles and vintage tractors will be there, as well as a number of historic vehicles from the North Devon Sports and Classic Car Club. Dressing in the clothes of the period is encouraged – and there’ll even be a 1940’s hair and make-up stall at the event.
Traditional cream teas and other refreshments will keep visitors fed and watered – including a Gin Bar run by Dulverton’s own award-winning Exmoor Distillery. Look out for a form to pre-book your Traditional Afternoon Tea or Cream Tea, so that you don’t have to queue on the day (copies available in Dulverton Post Office), or you can download a copy here: Dulverton Vintage Fair Tea Form
The Fair will take place on the Exmoor Lawns, an area of lawn that sits beside the River Barle close to Dulverton’s iconic medieval bridge. Admission to the Vintage Fair is FREE and it will be held from 12 to 5pm on Sunday 5 September 2021 – with the hope is that it shall become an annual event for the town. Keep an eye on the Visit Dulverton social media pages for more information about the event or visit Dulverton’s page on the Visit Exmoor website www.visit-exmoor.co.uk.
