DULVERTON ANTIQUES VALUATION DAY AND YOUR OWN REPAIR CAFÉ ADVICE – THIS SATURDAY 25 MARCH!

Excitement is building in the Exmoor town of Dulverton for the first Dulverton Antiques Valuation Day on Sunday 25 March from 10.30am to 3.30pm. A mini ‘Antiques Roadshow’ comes to town – what are your items worth? Come along and find out!

Adam Partridge – a famous face from the television on Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip, Dickinson’s Real Deal and Bargain Hunt – has spoken recently on BBC Radio Somerset expressing his eager anticipation for the event. Adam said “When we were asked to offer a team of valuers for this event we instantly said yes! With our salesroom only a few miles away in Hele, we shall be visiting this area a lot in the future”.

Adam and his team of experienced auctioneers will be joining Visit Dulverton to host the event in Dulverton’s historic Town Hall. Visitors will be invited to bring along their antiques, jewellery, fine art & collectors’ items. For a small fee the specialists on hand will give a valuation and history of the items that are brought along. The fee is to be £5 for a maximum of three portable items per person (that are small enough to carry!). Refreshments will be available, the bar will be open – and there’ll be live music too!

Visit Dulverton is also promoting the message of “repair, reuse, recycle” with other stalls at the event – including the team from the Somerset Waste Partnership who will take donations of unwanted small tech for reuse (laptops, PCs, mobile phones etc) and help visitors set up their own community repair groups. Discover how to start your own local repair café!

If anyone has large antique items or too many pieces to bring on the day, Adam Partridge Auctioneers are offering home appointments on either 25 or 26 March. For those wishing to sell items, pieces will be accepted on the day for future specialist auctions. No appointments will be necessary at the Dulverton Antiques Valuation Day – it will be first come, first served, with a simple ticketing system on the door.
