CALLING RUNNERS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES!

AN EXCITING NEW TRAIL FUN RUN AND CANICROSS FOR EXMOOR, STARTING FROM DULVERTON ON SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER.

Visit Dulverton and Dulverton Town Council are organising a new event for runners of all ages – with or without your dog! The Dulverton Trail Fun Run and Canicross will take place on Sunday 19 September, with staggered start times from 10am depending upon the route chosen. There are three running distances – 2km, 5km and 10km – alongside the picturesque River Barle and across beautiful Exmoor countryside around Dulverton. The start and finish will be at the Exmoor Lawns situated beside Dulverton’s iconic medieval bridge.

Dulverton – Gateway to Exmoor – is known to be a particularly dog-friendly town and there is the opportunity to run the 5km or 10km routes as a traditional canicross race – with all the fun of letting your dog(s) help you along the paths and up and down the hills!

Thanks must go to the event’s Title Sponsors, Webbers Estate Agents of Dulverton, and additional local sponsors – Tarr Farm Inn at Tarr Steps, Oggies Music Shop, Dulverton and Stags Estate Agents, Dulverton.

Numbers are strictly limited so runners are advised to book their places early to avoid disappointment – and don’t forget that there’s a prize for every finisher too!

Places can be booked online via www.bookwhen.com/dulvertonfuntrailrun. Entry fee is £10 per adult; £2 for under 16’s. Runners taking on the 2km route must be a minimum age of 8 on the day of the run, and under 11’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For the 5km route, runners must be 12 or over; and for the 10km route, runners must be 16 or over to join in the fun.

Keep an eye on the Visit Dulverton social media pages for more information about the event or visit Dulverton’s page on the Visit Exmoor website www.visit-exmoor.co.uk. It is hoped that this will become an annual event for the town.
