Three Exmoor Hotels win prestigious Awards this week

We are lucky to have some fantastic hotels in this part of the world. These three below are multi-award-winning examples of great hospitality, guest comfort and excellent food, and all found on Exmoor. What more could you ask for…

Three Acres Country House was presented with a prestigious Visit Britain Rose Award in recognition of their excellent customer service, putting them in the Top 100 accommodation providers in the country.

This luxury guest house is set in secluded peaceful grounds near Dulverton and has been consistently graded by Visit England with the highest ranking of 5 Stars since 2007. Owners Edward and Julie Christian commented, “We are delighted that the high standards at Three Acres Country House have been commended because we go to great efforts to provide our guests with a comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable stay on Exmoor.”

The beautiful Old Rectory Hotel is thrilled to have been awarded an Editor’s Choice Award for their Eco-Friendliness by the independently reviewed Good Hotel Guide this week.

Regularly voted amongst the Top 5 Travellers Choice Hotels by guests on Trip Advisor, The Old Rectory Hotel in Martinhoe, North Devon is used to receiving accolades. This year, Chef Thomas Frost has taken over the kitchen, adding an extra level of enjoyment. “His modern British menu includes just-landed fish and garden-fresh produce and our guests are really enjoying his delicious creations,” says owner Huw Rees.

Winning ‘Hotel Restaurant of the Year’ in the Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards makes it a hat trick for the Coleridge Restaurant at The Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel. Owners John and Jane Bradley have previously won this coveted, and competitive title in 2017 and 2016. “The win is a testament to all the hard work the whole team puts in,” beams John. “We were up against some stiff competition this year and would like to congratulate all of the finalists.” Intimate and friendly with a focus on seasonal and locally-produced food, the restaurant is open to non-residents Wednesday to Saturday.

Very well-deserved congratulations to all these Exmoor hotels who are going above and beyond their remit and ensuring that their guests have a holiday to remember on Exmoor.
