Shalden Shooting School offers clay pigeon shooting for individuals and groups, set in a wooded valley near Bampton on the edge of Exmoor. We have formats to suit those wanting to experience clay shooting for the first time through to experienced shots wishing to hone their skills. No previous experience is necessary, so come and give it a try!

For groups of novice shots we run taster sessions where you learn how to shoot clays presented at a variety of angles. The session ends with a chance for the group to compete against each other. We supply everything you need and have guns to suit anyone from 10 years upward so whatever the occasion clay shooting is a great activity for getting people together.

For experienced shots or those taking up the sport, we run lessons on a one to one or shared basis. Lessons are tailored to suit the pupil, covering how to shoot clays at different angles, working on problem areas and teaching all of the safety aspects. The terrain of the shooting ground allows us to create a varied range of targets, so there is something to suit everyone and we are happy to set up new targets on request.

For teams of experienced shots, we run simulated game days where you can test your skills as part of a team shooting random sequences of clays.  This is a whole day format for teams of 10-12 with lunch and refreshment supplied throughout the day.
