The Somerset & Exmoor Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) is the officially accredited strategic leadership body for tourism across Somerset and Exmoor. Bringing together Somerset Council, Exmoor National Park Authority, Visit Exmoor, and Visit Somerset, the LVEP represents a unified partnership driving growth, sustainability, and long-term prosperity for the region’s vital visitor economy.
Accredited by VisitEngland, the LVEP strengthens Somerset and Exmoor’s position within the national tourism network, ensuring our visitor economy continues to thrive for the benefit of businesses, communities, and visitors.
Our vision:
The Somerset & Exmoor LVEP works collaboratively to:
- Drive sustainable economic growth for Somerset and Exmoor’s visitor economy
- Support and champion local tourism businesses, from hundreds of micro-enterprises to medium and large operators across the region
- Champion and seek investment and grant funding to deliver the priorities of the area’s visitor economy
- Provide leadership by driving collaboration and reducing duplication of effort and spend across partners, ensuring a more effective and efficient approach
- Strengthen accessibility, sustainability, and the quality of the visitor experience
- Support Visit Somerset and Visit Exmoor in promoting Somerset and Exmoor as world-class, year-round visitor destinations
