The pretty village of Roadwater follows the Washford River in a narrow wooded valley, opening up within the centre which houses a small shop and post office, recreational area and pub.
A small picturesque village on the border of Exmoor National Park at the foot of the Brendon Hills surrounded by woodland.
It is situated close to the Old Mineral Line which, when operational, transported Iron Ore from mines within the Brendon Hills to South Wales.
