The gateway to the Quantock Hills.
The vibrant village of Nether Stowey lies at the foot of the Quantocks and boasts several shops, pubs and bed and breakfasts and post office. Most famously the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge lived in the village and his home is now owned by the National Trust. The village is also the starting point of the Coleridge Way long distance path which runs fifty one miles from Nether Stowey to Lynmouth.
