The village of Blue Anchor sits 2 miles east of Dunster in West Somerset. It has a beautiful sand and shingle beach which stretches for miles. The beach is a popular spot for dog walkers and is a fantastic place to enjoy an afternoon with the family. Build a sand castle, play cricket on the beach or sit back, relax and soak up the sea views. There is a West Somerset Railway station in the village. Blue Anchor Station has two long platforms, which are wheelchair-accessible by ramps, and a booking office selling the full range of tickets for the railway.
The Driftwood Cafe, which overlooks the bay, is a fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, tea and cake, and of course a delicious ice cream! They are also dog friendly with plenty of outside seating.
