Join the ranger at the largest reservoir on Exmoor, at Wimbleball Lake. The walk starts with a boat ride across the lake to reach the other bank in the woodland. Here you will be given ideas on bushcraft skills as you follow the lake shore back towards the start point. The woods are home to various edible herbs as well as much wildlife. If you are lucky you might hear a cuckoo, which I did when I was there at that time of year. There are nesting boxes for birds, including owl boxes. So keep your eyes peeled and your ears alert to discover more than you probably would on your own.
