Visitor Economy Support Programme (VESP)
VESP support is available to ALL eligible businesses within one of the four county councils making up the Somerset County Council (Mendip, Sedgemoor, South Somerset and Somerset West & Taunton) by registering through Visit Exmoor/Visit Somerset. VESP can provide FREE business and digital advice, guidance and support to visitor economy SME (0-249 employees) in the sectors of accommodation, retail, high street, food & drink, creative industries, heritage, visitor attractions, activity providers and outside visitor spaces. Under this scheme industry experts with a range of specialist skill sets will be matched with you to identify your business goals, opportunities and challenges. Your advisor will then work with you to create a bespoke package of support to help you mitigate the impacts of the pandemic.
Registration also provides an opportunity to join the FREE Visit Exmoor (Somerset and Devon) & Visit Somerset Associate Membership programme. Along with this valuable business support the Associate Membership will ensure that you are connected to initiatives and can participate in our themes, campaigns and be linked to the work that is being done on the Exmoor/Somerset Tourism Recovery Plan. Current members of either organisation should also register by using this link to access the VESP support.
