The attractive Hunters Inn sits in the Heddon Valley and is the perfect starting point for the delightful walk down to Heddons Mouth, alongside the Heddon River. The walk is a fairly easy 2 mile circular walk along the bottom of the valley with towering cliffs either side. On reaching the rocky bay one discovers the restored lime kiln overlooking the beach which is dissected by the river crossing the pebbles. It is not too uncommon to see seals relaxing in the water, spying on those on the beach.
Facilities: Food and drink at Hunters Inn, souvenirs and ice cream at the National Trust shop, toilets, honesty-box car parking.
