Selworthy Beacon

Selworthy Beacon

Selworthy Beacon lies to the west of Minehead. It can be reached by road by passing through Minehead Higher Town, the road climbing quickly onto the ridge. There are superb views from the top. There are some excellent walks up there with the South West Coast Path also crossing the beacon. At its highest point is a trig point marking 308 metres. Just to the south-west of the trig point, across the road you will find a memorial hut which is a shelter erected in 1878 by the Acland family.

Facilities: car parking along the road.
