Our restaurant has firmly established itself as the place to eat when visiting the moor, or to pop in for a light snack when out for a ramble. We take pride in our traditional home-cooked meals, using local produce whenever possible, and great care and attention is taken in the cooking and presentation of each dish.
Vegetarian dishes are always available, and any special dietary requests can be accommodated with prior notice.
In addition to the restaurant we have an adjoining room seating up to 16 people, which can be used for private parties. Booking is advisable.
The bar area has a traditional country pub atmosphere, with log fires in winter. There is also a skittle alley and a pool table. The bar’s normal opening times are ( 11am – 3pm, and 6pm – 12 midnight) and 10am for morning coffee. We serve food in the bar and restaurant from 12 noon until 2pm, and from 7pm until 9pm. In addition to our new restaurant menu we offer a weekly specials board, light luncheon menu and traditional Sunday lunch Carvery.
