Dunster Tithe Barn is a Grade II listed building and dates back to the 16th century. In 2002 until 2007 the building was restored and now offers a magnificent setting for various events and occasions.

The venue can be hired for dinners, parties, weddings plus crafts fairs, horticultural shows, art exhibitions and seasonal fayres. The venue is also suitable for corporate meetings and events.

There is a separate carpeted meeting room with surround sound which is available for hire for any type of meeting, children’s parties, table tennis and even a film club. They also have wireless broadband.


Dunster is located in Exmoor in West Somerset. Dunster is generally recognised as one of the most perfectly preserved medieval villages in the UK, with origins dating back to the Bronze and Iron Ages.

Visitors to the village delight in seeing buildings which make the historic experience almost unique: Dunster Castle, St George’s Church, the Yarn Market, the Dovecote, Butter Cross, Pack Horse Bridge, the working Water Mill, and Conygar Tower. One historic building which has now been added to this list is the early 16th century Tithe Barn, originally part of a Benedictine priory.


Dunster Tithe Barn is licenced as an Approved Premises for Civil Marriages.
