Take part in the fourth walking festival in and around the amazing Quantock Hills and West Somerset Coast!
Stowey Walking is pleased to announce the launch of the 2022 Quantock Hills walking festival. This year the walks will be over five days with a four-day challenge walk circumnavigating the hills. We have some new and exciting walks on offer, as well as welcoming back some familiar walks leaders with new routes. Walks include a fossil walk along the coastal foreshore, a Tramper ramble in the forest, and walks along the Castle and Coast Way. There will also be a family treasure hunt again around the village with a small prize. As usual weekend walks will be followed by delicious tea and cake here in Nether Stowey.
Places are limited so make your booking today! Find out more here.
Once again we have the support of Somerset Passenger Transport Solutions/Hinkley Point C providing transport to walk locations and the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme (QLPS), a five-year Heritage Lottery funded scheme to enhance the landscape, natural environment and provide opportunities for people to engage and enjoy the Quantocks and surrounding area.
Our walk leaders this year include members of the QLPS Team, Geckoella environmental consultants, Disabled Ramblers, Friends of Coleridge, Somerset County Council, Thomas Poole Library and Nether Stowey Health Walks.
Registration takes place at St Mary’s Church Centre in the village of Nether Stowey where there is car parking. Tea and cake will be served each afternoon at the weekend.
For walks outside the village transport will be provided.
