10 S/C Cottages. Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Games Room and Tennis Court. Peaceful valley location. Close to coast, moor and visitor attractions.
Triscombe Farm Country Cottages are a combination of nineteenth century country cottages and skilful conversions from existing farm building. Set in a beautiful valley in Exmoor National Park near Wheddon Cross, the highest village on Exmoor, this is the ideal location to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily working life.
Leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, games room with pool table and table tennis table and an all-weather tennis court (Easter to end of October). Natural water is provided from our own spring, tested annually.
The cottages are nestled in a sheltered, wooded valley overlooking the River Quarme. Each cottage has been individually styled and equipped to offer comfortable holiday accommodation, all located in the heart of the farm. Spectacular views across the valley to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, unfold as you wander around the land and an abundance of wildlife can often be seen. The cottages make the perfect base for holidays at any time of year.
A few miles from Triscombe is Exmoor’s spectacular, breathtaking and beautiful northern coast, the highest in Britain, with sheltered bays and steep cliffs plunging into the sea. You can enjoy fantastic coastal walks here along the cliff top South West Coast Path, with dramatic views of the coastline and out to sea. From Dunkery Beacon (1707ft) there are panoramic views to Wales, Dartmoor and beyond. Minehead is only 10 miles away with a beach, harbour and variety of pubs, restaurants and shops, in addition to the fantastic famous West Somerset Stream Railway. Historic Dunster, with a National Trust castle, is one of the prettiest villages on Exmoor. Porlock and Dulverton offer interesting shops and tea shops where you can enjoy a tradition Somerset cream tea. There are many places to visit locally including Knightshayes Court, a splendid Victorian house at Tiverton. Just one mile down the road in Wheddon Cross there is a shop, pub, garage and restaurant. There’s so much to do here that the owners hope to welcome you back time and time again!
