National Park Ranger Experience
Experience Exmoor National Park and its special qualities through the eyes of a Park Ranger.
No-one knows Exmoor like a National Park Ranger. Enjoy a unique day finding out how the Rangers work with the local community, farmers and landowners to preserve the park. Hear and see how they maintain the myriad paths, tracks and bridges and pop into the National Park workshop to observe the craftsmanship involved in the making of the iconic Exmoor signposts. Listen as the experienced Rangers share their wildlife experiences and unique stories of life in the park. Marvel at the spectacular vistas, diverse landscapes and ancient walkways often missed by casual visitors.
Enjoy a delicious local farmhouse lunch, celebrating Exmoor produce, at a working hill farm, where you can meet the farmer and chat about the highs and lows of running an Exmoor upland farm.
The tour lasts around 6 hours, is conducted in an Exmoor National Park Land Rover (practical, not luxurious and max 4 passengers) and departs at 10 am from the National Park Centre at Dunster.
Price per person is £145 (includes farmhouse lunch, refreshments, guide and travel).
