Purchased by the National Trust in 2018, Hunter's Inn in North Devon lies at the heart of 2,000 acres of land that the Trust already cares for. Moving forward, every pint, meal and stay enjoyed at the property will help to look after the wildlife of the valley and contribute to improved access for visitors.
Originally a thatched cottage, the building was reconstructed in the “Swiss Style” at the height of the Victorian Era, it is set within four acres of landscaped gardens, which form an idyllic backdrop for weddings and family events.
Hunter's Inn boasts 10 well-appointed bedrooms, ideal for both families and couples. Accommodation is en-suite, with traditional furnishings and characterful details, alongside flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms are also finished with four-poster beds, as well as balconies overlooking the landscaped gardens.
In addition to this, the property also features a self-catering apartment with its own private entrance alongside the hotel. Featuring an expansive lounge area and kitchen, two bedrooms, and bathroom with walk-in shower, it’s the ideal spot to retreat to amidst the rural calm.
Hunter's Inn is pleased to serve a seasonal menu featuring many traditional pub classics, prepared using local ingredients from Exmoor and the South West, alongside a range of home-brewed ales and local wines, as well as a bar menu with a selection of light bites.
