Set in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, Cutthorne is an ideal location from which to explore all the Moor has to offer. Lying in its own valley, a quarter of a mile from the nearest road, it offers total peace and quiet while providing a great base for activity holidays.
Both cottages have been sympathetically converted from 19C farm buildings and retain much of their original character. They provide comfortable living on a single floor. Both have 2 bedrooms (with King size/twin beds) a bathroom, well appointed kitchens and sitting rooms with either an open fire (in the Ballroom) or a wood burner (in the Shippon).
Outside the cottages lie in 24 acres of farmland with woodland walks and lakes to explore. Each cottage has a dedicated garden, the Ballroom has an enclosed courtyard attached to the cottage, the Shippon has a garden with great views, set 30 metres from the cottage across the farm yard. Both have a table and chairs.
We welcome pets and can offer DIY livery, for a small extra supplement. Free parking is available for up to 2 cars per booking, fresh eggs and seasonal produce are also usually available. Cutthorne is equidistant between Exford and Wheddon Cross, both villages have pubs, a local shop, and there is a garage in Wheddon Cross.
