Cross Lane House

With a passion for both seasonal & locally sourced produce, our menus offer a hand picked selection of dishes that have all been lovingly created, using the best flavours the season has to offer!

Our Bar

Although small in size, our bar is big in West Country character! We pride ourselves in serving local spirits such as Wicked Wolf Gin, Exmoor Ales and local craft somerset Cider. We also have a carefully selected wine list, so something for everyone! Our cosy Bar and Lounge is the perfect setting for drinks and something to eat.

Our Restaurant

Our Cross Lane Restaurant is now open! We are striving to achieve a 30-mile menu offering, where all produce is sourced within the distance, or grown on site in our kitchen garden!

Although the 30-mile menu is a long terms goal for the restaurant and will require a bit of work, our priority is to source local and sustainably sourced meat from neighbouring farms across Exmoor and surrounding areas. Little Oak Farm specialises in Middle White Pork and are a preferred supplier for breakfast sausages & bacon rashes! They are only located a 15 minute drive from us and have recently won GOLD in the Taste of the West Awards 2020.

DID SOMEBODY SAY AL FRESCO? In addition to our cosy restaurant, we have the perfect spot for Al Fresco dining in Exmoor - set in historic cobbled courtyard in a converted Linhay and under draped festoon lights. Perfect!

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea at Cross Lane House is a special occasion all year round! Enjoy a wonderful selection of traditional sandwiches, patisseries and homemade scones served with clotted cream and local preserves. Accompanied by tea, coffee or something sparkling - we will leave that decision to you! Reservations must be made in advance with 48 hours notice please.
