About

The National Trust is Europe’s largest conservation charity. On Exmoor they look after landscapes that are rich in wildlife, a wild coastline, a castle home and a house full of collections.

Bossington: The coastal hamlet of Bossington sits within the National Trust’s Holnicote Estate, which covers 12000 acres of Exmoor National Park. A walk from Bossington can lead you to it’s pebbly beach or high up to the lookout of Hurlstone Point, or for a longer walk why not pick up the South West Coast Path? Bossington is the perfect pit-stop for walkers with a quaint tea-room. Or for those having a family gathering, why not pack a picnic and enjoy a barbecue on one of our self-serve areas near the car park? A stroll around the village will provide plenty of picture-postcard views with many thatched cottages, many of which are owned by the Trust.
