Exmoor’s Coast & Moor Festival gets underway this week, featuring a whole range of things to do in the area throughout May.
Learn about the history, wildlife and nature of Exmoor during a great selection of guided walks including Lorna Doone 150th anniversary ambles, historic town tours, longer walks and coastal trails.
For the more adventurous, try coasteering and rock climbing exploring Exmoor’s rocky coastline from a unique perspective. More gentler pursuits include watercolour and jewellery workshops, boat trips and open gardens. There are evening talks, open days and tree trails.
New this year, visitors can learn ancient skills such as bow or charcoal making and how to carve spoons. There are illustrated talks about Exmoor, musical events and a railway spring gala. There’s even a Duck Race.
