In the 15 months since the extension of the Coleridge Way was launched to create a 51 mile route from Nether Stowey to Lynmouth, businesses along the new and old path have reported a rise in walkers enjoying the route.

There are two exciting new initiatives to celebrate the now famous Coleridge Way which it is hoped will encourage more people to come and enjoy the walk and the spectacular scenery.

Coleridge Way Companion Guide
Launched on the 2 September to a packed audience in Nether Stowey a new book has been written as an inspirational companion for anyone walking the Coleridge Way the guide is full of background information about route, the poets that walked it and the people you may meet today.

Local facts and folklore and much more besides bring the route alive. It has been written by Ian Pearson of the Old Cider House in Nether Stowey and complements the free route guides downloadable from the main website. The guide is just £10 (+ £2.50 p&p) and copies can be ordered online:

Esteesee – Along the Coleridge Way

Award winning folk singer Ange Hardy releases her highly anticipated new album, Esteesee, this week (24 September). The Album has been inspired by the life and writing of Coleridge and includes a track dedicated to walking the Coleridge Way.

To celebrate its launch a tour along the length of the route takes place between 3 and 18 October with performances each evening in settlements along the route. Each performance starts at 7.30pm and a licensed bar is available at all venues. Some venues also include an afternoon workshop suitable for all ages and abilities.
