About

One of the UK’s most spectacular open top bus rides, combining the wild beauty of Exmoor National Park with the historic seaside harbour of Lynmouth.

With the traditional seaside resort of Minehead at one end and the historic fishing village of Lynmouth at the other, our open-top Exmoor Coaster traverses the stunning Exmoor landscape, linking coastal towns and connecting communities. An adventure highlight is experiencing the insanely steep Porlock Hill, marvelling at the bus and our driver as they ascend, and then descend, the steepest A road in England!

Those lucky enough to bag a seat on the top deck will be able to soak up the breath taking scenery, from deep, lush green valleys in land to sweeping sea views all in one eyeline. Stop a while in Lynmouth with its charming fishing cottages and eclectic mix of shops lining the harbour. Those wishing to continue their adventure may opt to take the Lynton and Lynmouth railway which transports passengers up and down 862 feet of track from Lynmouth to Lynton – 500 feet above!

Walkers will enjoy hopping off along the way, taking in the sights on foot and drinking in the fresh air before catching the bus back again. Plus, our Exmoor Coaster is dog friendly so be sure to bring along your four-legged friend to experience the adventure with you!

Whether it’s travelling to Minehead to enjoy a traditional British beach day, uncovering the centuries of history at Dunster castle or exploring pretty Porlock, adventuring on the Exmoor Coaster will leave you with memories that last a lifetime.
