Our self catering cottages are spacious and well appointed. Located in the glorious Exmoor National Park we offer absolute peace and quiet. However, with good luck and a following wind, we are only a three hour drive away from either London or Birmingham.
The Two Moors Way passes our gate and for the energetic numerous other walks can be explored. Dogs and horses are also welcome; the latter being accommodated on a DIY livery basis. Alternatively you may simply decide to chill out and enjoy the magnificent views and wildlife. A wide variety of moorland birds and mammals such as hares and rabbits to say nothing of red deer are regular visitors. Exmoor ponies are often to be seen grazing on adjoining common land.
If you wish to explore the area, we are within easy reach of the coastal towns of Porlock and Lynmouth and close to Lorna Doone country. The pretty town of Dulverton is only a short drive (or walk) away for shopping and browsing.
There is an adventure playground in front of the cottages as well as a selection of ride-on toys. We also have cots and highchairs available for your use. As a family business, we guarantee you a warm welcome in any one of our four cottages or in all four if you wish to bring your extended family too, perhaps for a special anniversary celebration.
We are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and you are welcome to explore all of our sixty acres of fields and woodlands. The SSSI extends off into our woodlands which, with the help of Exmoor National Park, we are managing in a sympathetic manner to promote the flora and fauna that populate it. We have rare lichens on some of the older trees and the fallen trunks make great homes for all sorts of creatures.
Take a weekend break from the hustle and bustle or come and stay for a week or two; let Exmoor work its magic on you.
