Our lovely Edwardian house in the heart of Exmoor National Park is also in the centre of a working village and it’s not uncommon to see sheep being herded along the road immediately outside.
We are ideally situated to walk the Coleridge Way, visit the beaches of Minehead, Porlock and surrounding area and to enjoy the beauty of nearby attractions such as Tarr Steps, Lynton and Lynmouth, Wimbleball Lake and Dunster Castle. And, if you get caught in the rain, we have a dedicated drying room where you can hang wet clothes and leave your boots.
Our tastefully furnished rooms have been named after writers who have an association with Exmoor – Coleridge, Corelli, Kingsley, Wordsworth and Shelley. All rooms have excellent showers ensuite (3 over baths), crisp bed linen and soft towels. There are USB charging points on either side of the bed/s with plenty of additional sockets in useful places and the flat screen, Smart TVs come complete with Freeview and DVD player.
A generous supply of local tea, coffee, fresh milk, water and biscuits is provided in each room and the guest sitting room, which has three large sofas and a dining table, is the perfect place to curl up with a book or plan your stay using the guides and maps provided.
