Exmoor Camping Barn is set in the heart of Exmoor National Park on a 25 acre farm, off a quiet country lane at Wheddon Cross. The barn previously formed the original milking parlour and dairy, with two attached stables and a long feed store above. Built between 1840 and 1890, with stone walls that are two feet thick, pillars and attractive arch windows.
The farm is set in an elevated position close to open moorland and overlooking Snowdrop Valley. Coleridge Way runs through the farm and nearby is the West Coastal Path which is ideal for walker and cyclists.
Come and see the wonderful dark night skies of Exmoor and explore the beautiful rugged coastline of Somerset and surfing beaches of North Devon.
Ideal for groups, the self catering barn sleeps 10 people in 3 rooms. There is a well equipped kitchen/dining area, drying room and two shower rooms/WC’s. There is wifi and a smart TV.
Prices include electricity, hot water and heating. Beds will be made and a bath towel per person provided along with an initial supply of basic household essentials.
In the village 3/4 mile away is a shop/post office and petrol station offering fresh meat, fruit and vegetables alongside a variety of everyday items. Also in the village the Rest & Be Thankful pub offering good food and friendly service.
