Making the most of the COOL rural tourism toolkit, 10 Feb 2016, Minehead

Would you like some tailored advice, guidance and solutions for your business?  Then why not join the toolkit creators and like-minded businesses as we take an in-depth look at how the toolkit can work harder for your bottom-line...

This isn't about just covering the principles and facts, this fully interactive day is all about bringing the toolkit to life for you specifically.  As a small select group we'll work through some of the key tools using your businesses as the live examples, bounce ideas off each other and provide you with extra insights, tips and guidance over and above what's in the publication itself.

We'll also think about how and why  the toolkit is relevant  to your business, consider some tips and workflow in using it,  outline how to source some of the pre-requisite information the toolkit doesn't cover and (if that's not enough!) offer a freeform Q&A for any other issues to do with your business we might have missed.

What's more we'll give you the chance to shape the agenda, tell us which areas you would like to focus on, provide you with handouts, notes and other relevant documents and give you 2 weeks of support via email  afterwards if you have any questions or need clarification.

Visit England are working with South West destinations including Somerset & Exmoor to deliver overseas campaigns worth 5 Million pounds in early 2016. These will target French, German, Dutch, US and other markets. In recent year’s we have started to see an increase in overseas visitor numbers, and therefore this course presents the ideal opportunity for you to be in a position to communicate more effectively with overseas visitors.

Customer Service & Cultural Awareness Training ‘Welcome International’ training is targeted at tourism / hospitality businesses, covering B&Bs, hotels, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and business which primarily serve the visitor market.

Welcome International helps participants to communicate successfully and provide an exceptional customer service experience to international visitors and UK residents from different ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

The course will cover: 

·         the international tourism industry

·         how to communicate effectively

·         how to greet visitors in their own language

·         identify cultural expectations
