Williton is a small town, home of West Somerset Council, situated on the junctions of the A39 and A358 roads from Minehead to Bridgwater and Taunton respectively. It boasts a number of shops, 2 small supermarkets, several pubs and a library. Williton also is a station on the West Somerset railway, although the station is a little way out of the town.
Nearby on the A39 road to crossroads at Washford Cross lies several large radio masts, one of the distinctive landmarks of West Somerset. Adjacent to this landmark is the tourist attraction of Tropiquaria, a small wildlife and aventure park. Also nearby is a Bakelite Museum.
Williton is on the A39 between Bridgwater and Minehead and at the end of the A358 from Taunton.
