North Walk House

Sea views, king size beds, en-suite, organic food, and fresh fish.

North Walk House is a former gentleman's residence situated on North Walk, Lynton. Built in 1850, it has fabulous views over the Welsh coast, Countisbury and Foreland Point. We have immediate access to the South West Coast Path which passes the front of the house. The extensive gardens provide the ability to study the flora and fauna of the National Park with a sketch-book or camera to create lasting memories. Guests may enjoy a cup of tea on the terrace, a pre-dinner drink, a meal made from organic locally produced and sourced produce or simply relax and absorb the tranquillity of the area while overlooking the sea.

North Walk House specialises in walking holidays, offering details of a range of self-guided walks for the novice and experienced. We are happy to offer a delicious packed lunch for you to enjoy on your trek.

Exmoor has a maze of wonderful walks; from the dramatic Heritage Coast which includes the highest sea cliffs in England, to the awe inspiring scenery of the moor itself, with its rolling heather-clad hillsides and wooded valleys.

There are many historic sites such as barrows and ancient forts and of course, the Doone Valley, made famous by R D Blackmore's novel Lorna Doone

With the ample parking at North Walk House, you can forget the car and enjoy the many circular walks from the front door; Hollerday Hill, the Valley of Rocks, Watersmeet, Woody Bay and Summer House to name but a few. We have completely refurbished the hotel to a very high standard to give ultimate comfort to our guests. The large windows provide excellent views and welcome the morning sun

Situated on the South West coastal path overlooking the Welsh coastline and Countisbury Head. Six completely refurbished, luxury en suite rooms with very comfortable beds. Our guest lounge and large dining room with large refectory style dining table offer home cooked local produce from organic farms, complimented by good wines and local beers.
