Daisy Cottage

Daisy Cottage

Daisy Cottage can trace its history back to 1529 and retain much of its original character. Situated in the oldest part of Williton, between the Quantock and Brendon Hills, it is surrounded by beautiful scenery within a couple of miles of Exmoor National Park and one mile from the coastal footpaths.

The cottage is warm and comfortable at any time of the year with central heating radiators in all rooms. The spacious and charming living room has a gas-fired stove in the old inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, 2 sofas, easy chairs and dining table. Accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), family bathroom with bath; a well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, gas hob, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and all utensils. An auto washing machine is also provided and there is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand basin.

Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels.

There is ample parking space and a secluded garden with patio furniture at the rear. Williton is a small community with a good range of shops, post office, garage and several local inns. The West Somerset Railway stops here and is the longest privately owned steam railway in the country. It is a good base for exploring West Somerset and Exmoor being about 6 miles from Dunster National Trust Castle. Dunster is famous for its medieval village. Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Somerset, is 10 miles away and Lorna Doone Valley, Lynton and Lynmouth is within close proximity. It is perfect walking, riding and fishing country. Nearby Wimbleball Lake has sailing and windsurfing.

Whatever your tastes, the owners, who live nearby, can assure you of a warm and friendly welcome to Daisy Cottage.
