Castle View is a beautiful Grade II Listed holiday home set in a quiet part of the medieval village of Dunster. Located above an exclusive bridal shop, this attractive beautifully furnished apartment is ideal for two couples or a family with older children who require a property that attains the highest standards of style and quality.

The large diner area forms part of an L shape leading through to the spacious lounge. Here soft comfortable sofas, beautiful drapes, a feature fireplace and tasteful details create a room that is light, airy and relaxing. The bedrooms, which are located on the second floor, are all attractively furnished with the attention to detail that makes a room special.

The timbered Exmoor village of Dunster has more to offer than most towns. The Norman castle sits on a wooded hill at one end of the village looking down over the main street where a variety of small shops, coffee houses and pubs spill onto the cobbled pavement. The former Priory Dovecote, the ancient yarn market and the packhorse bridge across the River Aville provide an interesting cross section of English Architecture from the 12th to the 18th century.

First floor – lounge/diner and kitchen
Second floor – Bedroom 1 with king-size bed and en suite bathroom with corner bath, WC and washbasin

Facilities include: dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer compartment, colour TV, video and DVD player, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, central heating and car parking.

Public telephone 300 yards, shop for provisions 500 yards, bus station 0.5 mile, train station 1 mile and inn/pub 200 yards.

During the low season there is a heating supplement of £10.00 per week. Duvets, bed linen and towels are provided. Pets are not allowed.

Please note changeover is on a Friday. Children under 12 years are not allowed. A £50.00 security deposit is payable.

Road Directions

Approach Dunster on the A39 to Minehead. Take a left, signposted to Dunster on the A396. Continue through Dunster passing the Yarn Market on your right. Approximately 100 yards from here you will come to a church on the right and then a small lane beside it. Castle View is the first house on your left through a small gate next to the church gate.
