Bethany Guest House

Pat and Richard are people who love people, which shows in the way they run this sympathetically restored Victorian mansion guest house.

Locals nicknamed it "Bethany Junction" because of the old railway atmosphere outside, the picture gallery and memorabilia; steam enthusiasts off the preserved railway get a good yarn from fellow members here.

But seriously, everyone is so welcome to share the house. The welcome starts as you park on our frontage. You will be impressed with the cleanliness and quality of newly refurbished rooms, and many comment on the mouthwatering mega-breakfast.

Richard's Land Rover off-road discovery trips onto Exmoor £20 each for 3 hours; excellent value for money; nothing too much trouble.

Right by the town centre; leave the car to walk to the shops; the 20 mile preserved railway; seafront beach and amusements; day visit to Butlins, or an invigorating walk through the old town up onto the moors for walks and views. We will gladly tell you of places to visit, markets, towns and Sunday churches.
