Walking on Exmoor

Exmoor is a great place for the walker ...offering a fantastic variety of walks. With it's changing landscapes, including open moorland, dramatic coast lines, wooded combes and hidden valleys formed by tumbling streams & rivers it offers adventure and tranquility at any time of the year - from a walk to Snowdrop Valley in the spring to stalking Exmoor's Red Deer during their autumn rutting season and a lot else inbetween, there's something for everyone.

The South West Coast path begins in Minehead with a challenging route of deep valleys and ridges as it heads through Porlock and on to Lynmouth, with some spectacular cliff top views along the way.

There are over 600 rights of way so you will be spoilt for choice, with the seasons offer ever changing vibrant views and colours, it's a place just waiting to be explored!

Leaflets on walks can found at many outlets, including Tourist Information Centres. Exmoor National Park offers a full programme of guided walks.
